VBS was this week, and boy was it fun! Our theme this year was POWER LAB. Mommy worked this year in Elementary Games and Activities. I got to dress up like a mad scientist and do cool experiments and get really messy. Cate told me after the first day that her favorite thing was:EVERYTHING. Cara really loved it too although she was a little confused at first that this was not her "school", but church. It is hard to explain what VBS is to a 3 year old! Here is a breakdown of what we did:
- Monday-God gives us the power to be THANKFUL. We got to blow bubbles and make giant bubbles that we were inside of! We sang fun songs and made a "what I am thankful for" craft.
- Tuesday-God gives us the power to HELP OTHERS! Cate made a prayer box and learned how Jesus healed the blind man.
- Wednesday-God gives us the power to BE BRAVE! Cate got to "walk on water" like Peter did (no, not really, it was just corn starch and water, but it was a huge hit)!
- Thursday-God gives us the power to LIVE FOREVER! Cate got to wrap her crew guide in toilet paper (Jesus died), then saw what happens when you add mint mentos to diet coke (Jesus rose from the dead). She got soaked!
- Friday-God gives us the power to tell others about JESUS! Cate got to eat popcicles for snack and then went to a special assembly that daddy and mommy went to. Afterwards, the church fed everyone lunch.
