I am the first official guest blogger on Purtell Ponderings. Although I'm not sure if the creator's husband really counts. Ash asked me give some reflections on this basketball season and our current playoff situation. It has been a great year. We finished the season with a 26-6 record and were district co-champs. We were able to win the #1 seed in the playoffs by beating the team we tied with for first. It was an emotional win. We played incredible defense on a night when on offense never really got clicking. The final score was 54-52. We now head to the first round of the playoffs (bi-district). We will be facing McAllen Memorial High School on Monday at 7:00 (2/23) in Alice. We have high expectations for a deep playoff run. There are a lot of tough teams in the way...we will have to play our best. That's it for now!
