Thank You

Thank you, God, for plastic pools and slip-n-slides, for
popsicles on a hot day and blue skies.

Thank you, God, for three beautiful girls,

for giggles and silliness and sweet brown curls.

Thank you, God, for grass that sticks and sand that flies,

for dirty hands and wet kisses,

and time that we wish could stand still, but seems to go on by.

Thank you, God, for helping me lay aside those "best laid" plans,

for putting care of these girls in my hands.

Thank you, God, for summer and everyday!
